This ice cream flavor is not a common one. It combines two popular Italian desserts, ice cream and cannolis, into one delicious, well-balanced, creamy treat. It is by Private Selection, a brand from Kroger.
Initially I expected this to be very sweet, but to my surprise it was not. The ice cream itself tasted similar to the Sweet Cream flavor that is found in Cold Stone Creamery. The well-proportioned amounts of cannoli pieces were neither too crunchy or soggy (which I originally thought it would be). The espresso flavor was very light, so light that I almost forgot it was present. This ice cream would pair well with a cup of coffee or espresso for a good after-meal dessert, or even on it’s own for a pleasant snack anytime.
This jerky is different from most others available in stores. It comes in three different types of proteins: beef, pork and turkey. The one pictured here is turkey jerky and is flavored with basil and citrus seasoning. Its texture is thicker than most other jerky and is not as chewy. It also tastes less salty, which is a pleasant change to the palate.
As you can see, the basil flakes are very prominent on every piece of jerky. Regarding flavor, the basil and citrus are light, with subtle notes of each present. I recommend trying this, along with other varieties available in stores. Other flavors available include:
Lemon Garlic Turkey Jerky
Black Cherry Barbecue Pork Jerky
Grilled Sweet Teriyaki Pork Jerky
Chili Lime Beef Jerky
Garlic Chili Pepper Beef Jerky
Sweet Chipotle Beef Jerky
Pineapple Orange Beef Jerky
